When I look out my window I often see fantails on a mango tree wagging its tail side to side and hopping from one place to another. I found it very fascinating and made a small animation to try to capture its flying pattern.

It occurred to me that making it into a flipbook could be fun!

Such simple flipbooks can also be made to highlight a peculier aspect of any process or activity, for example-

Nature - Blooming flower

Sports - Long jump

People - Tying a turban

Few simple steps

  • Download a file from open source library

  • Print it on a thick paper

  • Cut the animation frames as instructed

  • Paste the animation frames serially

  • Flip to see animation

It will be a great way for kids to learn and get inspired! One can do it as a fun activity or give it to someone as a gift.
