K805 is a studio apartment of Sameer Kulavoor, a visual-artist and founder of ‘Bombay Duck Designs’. He shares this space with his tabby-cat Sumo.
This 300-sq.ft. apartment comprises of living space, an open kitchen and a bedroom. The space limitations prompted us to undertake a minimalistic design approach to make the apartment look spacious.
The flooring is set to a combination of white terrazzo tiles and polished cement floor. Teakwood shelves propped against the cement finish wall add an artistic appeal to quirky objects and books collected by Sameer. The use of Bakelite switches, accordion-fold metal windows and patterned tiles are unique features of this apartment.
