Mihir Hardikar’s Studio

Mihir Hardikar is a food photographer based in Mumbai. His cosy studio in Vile Parle is a linear block of two rooms in an old building with existing terrazzo floor, veranda, backyard and wooden-panel doors.

Our immediate response was to restore its vintage character and design the studio around it. The space transformed immediately by just repainting wooden doors & windows and re-polishing the floor.

The uniqueness of this design is that each furniture item including the pantry counter is movable and is fitted with castors, thereby making it possible to rearrange or relocate these furniture units easily and as required.

Mihir is an avid collector of cutlery from his travels. His cutlery collection, art prints and photography books now adorn his studio.
